Announcing the Fellows in the Sauce Labs Open Source Community Fellowship Program

Sauce Labs welcomes the new fellows who will be act on Elemental Selenium, a worthwhile open source project. They join our new Community Fellowship Program, which is designed to foster diversity and belonging in the open source community.

Sauce Labs is excited to announce our first Community Fellows, who will be focused entirely on open source.

We welcomeRajene Harris, Danielle Madry, Janackeh Blackwell, Django Skorupa, and Esther Cottonto the Sauce Labs Open Source Community Fellowship Program!

The program is designed to foster diversity and belonging in the open root community, providing fellows with paid training for six months. Our end is to aid break down the barriers in technology, enabling the familiar to act on a worthwhile open root project.

Why Open Source?

Sauce Labs was born from an open germ projection calledSelenium, created by one of our co-founders,Jason Huggins. Within unfastened root we are “ stand on the shoulders of giants, ” which is both our legacy and our duty to nurture and contribute to the community.

In this initiatory version of the plan, Sauce Labs looks to the community from which it was created and offers Elemental Selenium, a collection of curated self-paced educational materials design to help the end-user learn how to automate front-end software tests habituate Selenium. By providing the noesis, clip, and fiscal agency to new contributors and maintainers of the project, Sauce Labs is contribute to the industry at its core, offering a real-world poser of improving diverseness in the open source governance models. The fellows will update, design, and open the undertaking to the community, work with mentors for every step in the summons. Our goal is to enable them to larn the fundamentals of codification, message, design, quality, and community.
